Taki Rua Productions is a national, kaupapa Māori performing arts organisation based in Pōneke.
We produce, commission and develop theatre works through a distinctively Māori lens, while advocating for the wider industry.

Taki Rua is excited to announce our 2025 programme is now live!
We have 3 exciting shows on offer this year.
'He Māori?' by Īhaka Martyn has just completed a development tour around secondary kura in the lower North.
Our Te Reo Māori Tour this year is the world premiere of 'Rere Atu Taku Poi', adapted by Bea Joblin and based on the bestselling book by Tangaroa Paul. This show will tour kura all over the motu, and for the first time will be performing in ALL kura, including secondary and tertiary.
Our whānau favourite Te Kuia me te Pūngāwerewere by Jamie McCaskill, based on the book by Patricia Grace is back for it's final outing as it tours Te Waipounamu.
