About the event
As rapid modernisation threatens to overtake the world, renown photographer, Alexander Khimushin, documents Indigenous people’s culture, religions and traditions through his photographic exhibition The World In Faces.
From the Goroka people of Papua New Guinea to the Mekan people of Omo Valley, Ethiopia, "Indigenous Peoples” represent over 476 million from more than 90 countries who claim the right to self-determination, including the right to control their own political, social and cultural development.
Taki Rua partners with Khimushin to present a limited selection of ten portraits showcasing the beauty and richness of iwi taketake, Indigenous peoples, from across the world.
This exhibition is free to the public. Level 1, 274 Taranaki St, access only by stairs.
